I do this work because it calls to me.
It found me, just like you did, and I trust that means something.

Here’s what you’ll see about me (on paper)

  • Finished high school early and graduated university at 19 years old, top of my class in actuarial science and economics

  • Worked in management consulting at Boston Consulting Group

  • Took three months off to do a technology bootcamp in Silicon Valley

  • Worked in technology as a Chief of Staff and as a Product Manager, through an IPO

  • Founded a small software company with a friend during my nights and weekends

  • Wrote (most of) a book that I never published

  • Worked as an executive at early stage technology companies, leading venture capital fundraises in the double digit millions.

  • Have lived and worked in Melbourne, Copenhagen, Beijing and San Francisco

Here’s what you won’t see (but is inside)

  • I’ve felt lost and questioned what the hell I was doing with my life.

  • I’ve been fired. Twice.

  • I’ve felt worthless and like an imposter that didn’t deserve any of what I had.

  • I’ve felt out of my depth, like I was born without what I needed to navigate what was before me.

  • I’ve struggled financially, both in my childhood and adult life.

  • I’ve felt lonely, been lied to by people I trusted, and had my heart broken.

  • I’ve had dark voices in my head telling me the meanest things and keeping me in a cage.

  • I’ve had darker voices telling me the most reasonable sounding things that still keep me in a cage. Tricky bastards.

And yet, I’m still here. Today, I live in San Francisco with my beautiful wife Cecilia and adorable bunny Sybil, I live a life of freedom and choice, and I do work I love, every single day. I work with founders, investors, executives, business owners, and creatives, coaching them through life-changing experiences. I take care of myself daily, take time off to snowboard and go to music festivals, and love the life I live.

I tell you this about me because I want you to know that I get how hard it can be sometimes. And that it’s OK. We are all human. Nothing about my story stops me from having the life of my dreams. And nothing about yours means you can’t either.

What I bring as your coach

I coach because it calls to me. It means much more to me than just how I pay my bills. It’s how I nourish my soul.

I am formally trained by the Coaches Training Institute, and have hundreds of coaching hours under my belt. I also confess to being an unashamed thief, borrowing what I find useful from my study of humanity’s spiritual traditions, philosophies, religions, modern psychology modalities, and personal development and leadership frameworks. While I personally enjoy the traditions of Stoicism, Zen Buddhism, and Taoism, I believe all of these traditions or systems are simply different coloured doors leading to the same underlying truth, and it’s ultimately that truth I bring to our coaching.

I coach fiercely and powerfully in service of you and your growth. When I coach you, I simultaneously see and believe in your best self and best life, while also gently holding space for who you currently are.
